International Degree Programmes (IDP) - International Degree Programmes are designed to attract international students. They are well structured, based on working in small groups and include intensive guidance. The language of instruction is mainly English. The range of study opportunities covers Bachelor, Master and PhD levels. You will find the full range of about 450 IDP courses at the homepage of DAAD.

For admission to any of the undergraduate programme, qualification equivalent to the general higher education enterance qualification is required. To be admitted to any of the postgraduate programmes a 3 year Bachelor's degree is generally the admission requirement. However in certain areas of study additional credits may be required.

Further information on the admission procedure and requirements and application deadlines is available directly from the institution of higher education that you select. Acceptance and admission is decided by the institution individually, usually on the basis of merit.

Most courses require good knowledge of English. An internationally recognised certificate such as the TOEFL or IELTS has to be submitted with the application.
