What is DAAD? -
DAAD stands for "Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst", also
known as German Academic Exchange Service. DAAD is a joint
organisation of German institutions of higher education and
student bodies. Our aim is to promote academic co-operation
world wide, especially through the exchange of students,

DAAD Seminar in Trivandrum
ReDiscover Germany, Higher Education & Beyond

Sustainable Habitats in India
The German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the School of Habitat Studies of the Tata Institute of Social Science are inviting PhD-students, junior researchers and junior experts from any disciplinary background to participate in a Summer Course on Sustainable Habitats in India from April 5th to April 23rd 2010 in Mumbai. This course will focus on strengthening communication and mutual understanding between research, business, development policy and project implementation. In order to study urban governance, models of sustainable habitats, green public buildings and sustainable livelihoods participants from India, China, Germany and Indonesia will be accompanied during their research by experts from academic institutes, implementers of development projects and NGOs from all over India and from Germany.
